WHO WE ARE
Urban League Young Professionals of Greater of Southwestern Ohio is a network of urban young professionals ages 21-40 that functions as an auxiliary group of the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio and also a chapter of the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP).
THE MISSION
Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio is committed to driving equity and financial empowerment for African Americans through advocacy, education and development.
The League's Mission is to help Black people and historically underserved communities achieve their highest true social parity, economic self-reliance, power, civil rights and justice.
The mission of the Urban League of Young Professionals of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULYPGSO) is to serve as a base of support for the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULGSO) and their respective initiatives, promote the overall mission of the ULGSO and a comprehensive orientation to the National Urban League movement for young professionals in the Cincinnati community.
THE VISION
ULYPGSO is a vehicle for young professionals looking for an opportunity to serve the local community as well as engage in impactful activities and programming that encourages personal, professional, and social growth. It is the goal of our organization to build a strong pipeline of future leaders and connect young professionals both within the local community and also across the nation through our affiliations with the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP).

The Urban League movement consists of 5 Pillars:
- Education & Youth Development: Every American child is ready for college, work, and life
- Jobs, Entrepreneurship, & Business Development: Every American has access to jobs with a living wage and good benefits
- Housing & Community Development: Every American lives in safe, decent, affordable and energy-efficient housing on fair terms
- Health & Quality of Life: Every American has access to quality and affordable healthcare solutions
- Justice & Civic Engagement: Every American has an equal right and responsibility to fully participate in our democracy and civic processes, and all people have a right to justice and fairness.
